Job Description: Global Markets Analyst

Please note we are a student-led organization and do not offer paid services. Upon recruitment, you will need to access the IBC membership (see the "Membership" page).

The £50 membership fee (divided into two installments of £25) supports the costs of our website, software tools, and the courses and training provided at The IBC.

As a Global Markets Analyst at The Investment Banking Club (IBC), you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by conducting detailed research and analysis of global financial markets. Your work will include evaluating economic trends, sector-specific performance, and financial developments across regions, producing comprehensive reports that inform our research initiatives and projects. You will analyze macroeconomic indicators, market dynamics, and emerging trends, developing a thorough understanding of global markets.

Working closely with mentors and team leads, you will receive guidance to strengthen your analytical and research skills while gaining hands-on experience in financial market analysis. The role offers opportunities to collaborate with peers on diverse projects, providing exposure to global economic patterns and fostering a well-rounded understanding of financial markets.

The role demands a high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. You will be expected to manage multiple tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and uphold the highest standards of quality in your work. A passion for finance, curiosity about global markets, and a commitment to professional growth are essential for success in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in any discipline.

  • Genuine interest in global financial markets and economic trends.

  • Experience with financial modeling (preferred but not required).

  • Commitment to learning, adaptability, and maintaining a strong work ethic.
